Satair, a company of Airbus Services and commercial aerospace aftermarket world leader, has announced the appointment of Tommy Hughes as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). In this influential position, Hughes will be responsible for Satair's global commercial strategy and customer success initiatives, highlighting the company's dedication to long-term partnership and leadership in aviation services.

With more than 35 years of aviation management and the past ten years as CEO of VAS Aero Services, Hughes is blessed with complete experience and a rich background of providing customer-oriented, high-value service. His vast industry knowledge will be crucial as Satair continues to grow its presence in the worldwide aerospace marketplace.

Hughes succeeds Paul Lochab, who was CCO for almost a decade and was responsible for building the commercial presence of Satair as well as nurturing customer relationships globally. Lochab's leadership helped establish Satair as a prominent aerospace aftermarket company, and Hughes is perfectly poised to continue his legacy. The handover provides continuity in customer relationships while growing Satair's service provision under Hughes' stewardship.

Apart from his CCO position, Hughes will also hold the position of interim Managing Executive of VAS Aero Services, to facilitate an orderly handover while searching for his successor. In this key role, Hughes will direct Satair's commercial activities worldwide and customer success programs, reflecting the company's commitment to long-term relationships and service distinction in aviation.
