Partstat and WIN partner to deliver secure, long-term semiconductor storage and supply chain resilience.
Supply chain solutions provider Partstat has entered into a strategic partnership with WIN Semiconductors Corp, a leading pure-play foundry for gallium arsenide and gallium nitride semiconductors. The goal of the partnership is to provide comprehensive, long-lasting storage solutions for semiconductor components, such as dies, wafers, and even actual mask sets.
The partnership aims to lower supply chain risks globally by fusing Partstat's specialized expertise in semiconductor inventory ownership and storage with WIN's modern wafer fabrication capabilities. Just-in-time delivery and long-term product lifecycle management will benefit consumers by enabling safe, climate-controlled rooms for keeping critical components.
The ISO-certified vaults from Partstat are made to meet strict ESD and MSL requirements while reducing capital constraints by owning goods off-balance-sheet. Consignment fulfillment and OEM support for legacy products are additional services they offer. WIN Semiconductors, established in 1999, is the first pure-play 6-inch GaAs foundry and holds an estimated 65% market share in the compound semiconductor foundry sector. The company operates three fabs supporting HBT, pHEMT, and BiHEMT processes, producing over 500,000 wafers annually for RF, infrastructure, and networking applications.
Dennis Menefee, CEO of Partstat, stated that the partnership will help WIN Semiconductors customers have a more reliable and resilient supply chain. In light of growing concerns about supply chain vulnerabilities, Russ Wagner, WIN's Vice President of Business Development, echoed this sentiment when he stated that the partnership offers clients flexible and safe storage options outside of Taiwan, protecting their technologies while maintaining accessibility. The initiative demonstrates both companies' commitment to offering new, secure, and cost-effective semiconductor supply chain solutions.
