Apple updates iOS, iPadOS, and macOS with over 180 security fixes and important feature improvements.
The eagerly awaited iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4 upgrades have been released by Apple. For users of the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, the latest updates offer a number of noteworthy new capabilities, such as increased support for Apple Intelligence languages, including Indian languages. The importance of the new OS update is increased by the fact that it also includes vital program updates.
Over 180 security flaws in iOS, iPadOS, and macOS have been fixed by Apple. More than 60 susceptibilities have been fixed in iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4, and more than 120 vulnerabilities have been patched in macOS Sequoia 15.4 alone. Even though Apple has not found any of these vulnerabilities being actively used in the wild, it is still crucial to download the updates in order to safeguard Apple devices. Apple claims that security flaws that might have let hackers steal confidential information, get around authentication, or take over devices are fixed by the new software updates.
More than 60 security patches are included in the iOS 18.4 and iPadOS 18.4 releases, which fix flaws in important apps and system elements like Safari, Siri, and AirDrop. A fixed AirDrop privacy flaw that let apps access file metadata without authorization and several WebKit vulnerabilities in Safari that would have allowed rogue websites to cause browser crashes or run malicious code are among the important patches.
With more than 120 security changes, the most recent release for macOS Sequoia 15.4 is even more extensive. Fixing vulnerabilities in system tools that would have allowed hackers complete control of a Mac is one of them. A flaw in file-sharing services that might have caused system crashes or permitted remote attacks has also been addressed by Apple. Apple has also fixed a flaw that let apps access files that were protected.
