EHMA’s AGM in Warsaw will shape the future of hospitality and tourism design.
Warsaw will be the new hub of European luxury tourism as it welcomes the European Hotel Managers Association's (EHMA) 51st Annual General Meeting (AGM) from March 28-30, 2025. With close to 500 hotel general managers and executives gathering for this high-profile event, Poland will be established as a major player in the changing travel scene, with a focus on design-led hospitality and sustainability.
EHMA, which has played a key role in setting the standards for luxury hospitality since its establishment in Rome in 1974, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. As it enters its next phase, the Warsaw AGM is a milestone, providing a platform for leadership thinking on future trends that will define the hotel sector.
EHMA President Panos Almyrantis, who is also Ella Resorts' Chief Growth & Commercial Officer, emphasized the need for innovation and sustainability in the association's future vision. "We are more dedicated than ever to making Europe the gold standard of luxury hospitality worldwide," he stated.
Warsaw was selected because of its dynamic mix of heritage and advanced development, a true reflection of the theme "Hospitality by Design." The UNESCO-listed historic Old Town and contemporary architecture exemplify how planned urbanity can create the hospitality of the future. Paweł Lewtak, Vice President of EHMA, also added that Warsaw echoes the event's theme through combining cultural heritage and innovative delivery of services.
The event will have a host of activities, including a Royal & Cultural Programme that will present Warsaw's culture and food, an Educational Day Conference, and the esteemed EHMA Awards Gala. The topics of sustainable design, cutting-edge technologies, and talent management will be under discussion, and are expected to shape the world tourism industry.
Looking to the future, the 2026 AGM will be hosted in London, further affirming EHMA's position as a hospitality collaboration leader across borders. The event will also enhance Warsaw's position as a leading MICE tourism destination, drawing in international investors and high-end travelers.
