Guests go aboard on a journey across 58 destinations, experiencing 30 UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Silversea has revealed its 132-day World Cruise 2028, a luxury cruise called "An Ode to the Moment." This once-in-a-lifetime experience will be the Silver Shadow's first World Cruise, departing Miami on January 5, 2028, and ending in Nice on May 16, 2028. The journey will include 58 ports of call in 29 nations, with 17 overnight stays in famous cities, as guests enjoy some of the world's most breathtaking and distinctive cultures and landscapes.
The cruise will take shape over nine chapters, each set to offer an in-depth exploration of varied locations, ranging from the Caribbean and South America to Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. The itinerary allows guests to enjoy more than 30 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, plus bespoke events and specially curated overland tours to enrich the depth of the journey.
In the first chapter, “Anthem of the Tropics,” Silver Shadow will sail through the Caribbean, from Miami to Cartagena, with stops at both well-known and off-the-beaten-path destinations, such as Gustavia and Kralendijk. Guests will enjoy extended stays in port, allowing them to explore the islands day and night.
As the cruise continues along South America in "Reign of the Rainforest," guests will visit the legendary Panama Canal and Amazonian scenery of Colombia and Peru. In "Lands of Fire and Ice," they will sail around Cape Horn, traveling through the Chilean Fjords and Patagonia, providing unparalled glimpses of glaciers and wildlife, such as penguins and sea lions.
Additional segments are "The Beat of Tradition," which introduces the vibrant Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, and "The Sands of Time," where visitors travel to South Africa and Namibia and enjoy an unforgettable night on top of Table Mountain in Cape Town.
With itineraries scheduled in the Arabian Peninsula and Africa, "Tales of Spice and Silk" takes guests to discover iconic cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, while "The Ancient Realm" goes deeper into Egypt and Jordan with visits to Luxor and Petra temples.
Last but not least, the Mediterranean chapter, "Echoes of Empires," calls on visitors to explore gems like Milos and Agropoli, culminating in a special farewell experience in Diano National Park.
