Creators boost trust through curated picks, live reviews, and festive shopping guides.
Shopee Affiliates in Malaysia are leveraging handpicked and personalized recommendations in order to foster trust and promote sales for the shopping period of Ramadan and Raya. According to Shopee Malaysia, 87% of affiliates believe that recommending personally tried products and top-rated sellers such as baju raya and home decor items helps the buyer make informed shopping choices.
The consumption of curated content and interactive digital media has also picked up strongly. Almost 90% of the affiliates are already using Shopee Video to post festive holiday shopping guides, fashion inspirations, and gift ideas. There are also 13% of the affiliates engaging audiences actively in unboxing clips and live product reviews, immersing their customers in an enhanced shopping experience.
Digital content creators do more than simply market products," stated Tan Ming Kit, Head of Marketing and Business Intelligence at Shopee Malaysia. "They establish trust, they share actual experiences, and they assist shoppers in making knowledgeable decisions for festive preparations.
With the coming Raya Bersama Shopee Campaign, partners are seizing the opportunity to stand out via word-of-mouth and promo promos. Shopee hosted Rumah Terbuka Shopee and also did an event attended by more than 900 partners and 30 brands, including 78 hours of livestreaming and Brand-Affiliate Livestream Matchmaking. More than 800,000 viewers tuned in to the event, which created brand-content creator collaborations.
Shopee has also launched a number of campaigns, including the Shopee Video Mission, the Ramadan Raya "Pos & Menang" campaign, the Stream-A-Thon on Shopee Live, and the Content Creators' Club. 75% of the affiliates are currently engaged in these campaigns, and 25% are awaiting new opportunities in the coming year.
As its core is affiliate marketing and online interaction, Shopee aims to further enhance its e-commerce experience to make online shopping more interactive, dynamic, and rewarding to consumers.
