New NAI commended for AI-driven analysis advancing Korea's global cultural influence.
The generative artificial intelligence (AI)-based big data analysis firm New NAI announced on the 12th that it had been commended by the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism for successfully completing the "Overseas Big Data Analysis Project" by the International Culture and Publicity Policy Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
The rise in popularity of K-culture has led to a diversification of interest in Korea and a notable increase in mentions on international social networking sites (SNS). This demonstrates the further elevation of Korea's national brand position.
As foreigners' interest in K Culture and Korea grew, New NAI used AI analysis technology to examine the impact of the Korean Wave and the nation's image based on big data from abroad and offered strategies for international promotion. He thus received recognition for his role in advancing laws aimed at improving the country's reputation.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism's overseas news analysis team, along with the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, has signed a business agreement to create an "artificial intelligence (AI) foreign media big data analysis solution" in 2026. In order to increase the effectiveness and precision of big data analysis, this project intends to offer AI-based big data analysis services utilizing Large Language Model (LLM) technology. A successful business, New NAI assists with data supply and the development of big data analysis systems based on a variety of AI analysis methods, including context analysis and AI sensitivity.
Kang Kang, head of the Ministry of Culture's overseas news analysis team, stated that the completion of the foreign big data analysis platform will enable a more accurate and in-depth examination of both international community issues and matters of interest in Korea. Bae Sung-hwan, CEO of New NAI, expressed that the award is particularly significant because their AI technology can contribute to the national interest.
