Microsoft has enhanced its Dynamics 365 Customer Insights platform by introducing new workflow management features, making it a powerful tool for marketers. The latest updates are designed to streamline the campaign creation and management process, positioning the platform to compete directly with other CRM giants like Salesforce and HubSpot. These improvements focus on optimizing how campaigns are planned, executed, and monitored, aiming to simplify workflows and improve efficiency for marketing teams.
Canva was gaining fast pace and was challenging the market giants such as Adobe to mark their presence in the enterprise market. However, the recent price hike seems to be affecting the loyal small business (SMB) customers.
Beginning in early September 2024, Canva unveiled price increases on team subscriptions. This has put Canva Teams at a whopping $100 per user yearly versus the previously affordable price for up to five users of $119. To affected existing customers, it marks an equally shocking leap as those that use this site as the source for making all sorts of SMB-related design work. For example, digital marketing agency Hornstein Digital saw its subscription fees surge by nearly 300%, creating challenges for its workflow and business operations.
While Canva's executive creative director, Cat van der Werff, says small teams are still the focus, the enterprise-focused product enhancements are undoubtedly attracting attention. Canva's AI-powered Magic Studio and video editing tools are part of the company's effort to make a stronger case to larger organizations. With these updates, the platform is looking to provide more value to justify the higher prices, especially as Canva expands its enterprise services with products like the Visual Suite and new Work Kits.
Despite these innovations, SMB users like Rachel Hornstein are left in a tough spot. The price increases are stretching their budgets and making them question their workflow tools. For some, the switch to competitors like Adobe is not an attractive option because of their steep learning curves and higher costs.
