FromSoftware and Bandai Namco unveil a thrilling new Elden Ring experience with intense co-op survival gameplay.
In an announcement for fans of the Elden Ring Universe, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed Elden Ring Nightreign, a standalone multiplayer co-op action survival game. Launching in 2025, this exciting new chapter will challenge players to face the harsh and unforgiving world of Limveld, a realm parallel to the events of Elden Ring.
In Elden Ring Nightreign, players will team up in squads of three or venture alone to survive an ever-changing night cycle. The game introduces a unique mechanic where players must make quick decisions about combat and exploration as they face shifting maps, while battling fierce enemies. At the end of each day, powerful bosses await, pushing players to hone their skills and work together.
The game promises a rich experience with eight playable characters, each with distinct abilities and powerful Ultimates to change the tide of battle. As the players go through the game's three-day and night cycle, the challenges are growing, and at the final showdown, the dreaded Nightlord is what they must face.
A primary feature of Elden Ring Nightreign is that the gameplay is run-based; each run is never the same. The world, Limveld, will also continue to change so that no two adventures are ever identical. When players fail at a mission, they will still collect valuable relics to be used to upgrade their character in case of another attempt in order to create a personalized adventure according to each player's preference.
With the potential for deep character customization and strategic co-op gameplay, Elden Ring Nightreign is poised to become an essential title for fans of action RPGs. It will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
