Appian appoints Mark Dorsey as Chief Revenue Officer to drive global sales and partnerships growth.

Appian Names Mark Dorsey Chief Revenue Officer. In this role, Dorsey will lead direct sales and partnerships around the world for Appian and report directly to Appian CEO Matt Calkins. Coming from more than 25 years of experience in strategic sales leadership, mainly in cloud and SaaS organizations, Dorsey joins Appian from Cloudleaf, an enterprise-grade industrial Internet of Things solutions developer where he served as the president. He served in various executive positions within large technology companies, such as Oracle, IBM, and Alteryx.

Dorsey was at Oracle as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Cloud Sales. He had a very instrumental role in helping Oracle build out its cloud business. He was instrumental in helping transform Oracle's sales organization from being a company of on-premise solutions to a cloud-based organization. Dorsey led Oracle's Retail Vertical, growing cloud and on-premise software and hardware in North America. His experience in managing large enterprise accounts and creating long-term customer relationships is expected to be a significant asset to Appian as the company continues to expand its market reach.

"I am thrilled to join Appian and to work closely with the entire team in supporting its growth," said Dorsey, who is now excited to be able to collaborate with customers in order to help them use Appian's process automation technology to change their organizations.

Fully diversified by software platform innovation that enables businesses to automate and better their processes, Appian believes Dorsey's leadership will add some serious spice to the company's growth trajectory. "I am excited to welcome Bob as our new Chief Operating Officer," said CEO Matt Calkins, outlining his ability to create high-performing, scalable teams.

Appian restated its Q3 2024 and the full year of 2024 ending December 31, 2024, guidance as mentioned in its earnings release for the Q2.
