New partnership enhances enterprise IT solutions through advanced broadband infrastructure capabilities.
Adtran and Netomnia are introducing the UK's first 50G passive optical network services in a huge step in IT connectivity for business enterprises. The company is optimistic that it will offset the high bandwidth demands of enterprise applications that are now ensuring cloud computing, online collaborations, and remote work becomes smooth-running operations.
The 50G PON system offers quite seamless integration with the existing GPON and XGS-PON networks which enable organizations to step up their IT infrastructure with minimal disruption to ongoing services. This transition offers cost-effective scalability as well as better performance for applications most critical to modern business environments.
Presented here, Netomnia CEO Jeremy Chelot said its 50G PON will have the capacity to serve enterprise IT solutions such as smart campuses and data centers, with 1 million customers to be realized by the year 2028. In the rollout, Adtran SDX 6400 Series would be very important and will support solidified connections to applications such as virtual collaboration tools and advanced analytics.
According to Christoph Glingener, CTO of Adtran, this plan is strategically important for companies preparing their IT operations for the future. The partnership will help companies provide all the bandwidth they need to take advantage of new technologies like artificial intelligence and IoT that are changing digital environments across the industries.
