New IoT Service Promises Enhanced Efficiency, Cost Management, and Sustainability
In response to rising demand for detailed power consumption insights, MachineQ has unveiled an advanced internet of things (IoT) power-monitoring solution. This new offering is designed to provide businesses with actionable data to better manage energy use, enhance operational efficiencies, and support proactive maintenance while also contributing to sustainability goals.
MachineQ's IoT-based service empowers companies to accurately track energy consumption and asset utilization through innovative sensor technologies. The centerpiece of this solution is the MQpower CT, a wireless, self-powered current transformer that can be clamped to electrical conductors at the breaker or asset level. This device offers non-invasive, real-time monitoring of current consumption, helping businesses identify inefficiencies and potential issues before they escalate.
Complementing the MQpower CT is the MQpower SP, a smart plug load device that provides comprehensive energy data, including daily usage, instantaneous current, voltage, active power, and power factor. The MQpower SP supports a variety of plug types worldwide, including US (type B), UK (type G), EU (type F), and FR (type E), and is compatible with regional LoRaWAN frequencies globally.
Bryan Witkowski, Head of Product and Strategy at MachineQ, highlighted the growing customer demand for tools that offer deep insights into power consumption. “This solution not only helps monitor energy usage but also aids in managing it effectively,” Witkowski said. “With many companies prioritizing sustainability, our new service is a crucial tool for measuring and achieving their environmental goals.”
MachineQ’s latest innovation promises to enhance energy management across industries by offering flexible, real-time monitoring and actionable insights, paving the way for more efficient and sustainable operations.
