Oracle Announces New Pricing Rules

Oracle's latest updates to its Fusion Cloud SCM platform promise to streamline operations and boost efficiency

Oracle has announced significant upgrades to its Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM) platform, introducing new features aimed at improving user experience and operational efficiency. These enhancements, unveiled on August 13, include advanced pricing rules, field parts inventory management, and improved product management tools.

The latest updates incorporate the consumer-friendly Oracle Redwood Design System, ensuring that procurement professionals, logistics managers, field service technicians, and product managers benefit from a more intuitive and efficient platform. Chris Leone, Oracle’s executive vice president of applications development, highlighted the impact of these improvements: “With the latest Redwood user experience updates, Oracle Cloud SCM customers can increase the speed and accuracy of operations, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.”

One of the standout features is the new pricing rules for order management. This enhancement allows organizations to automate discounts and streamline sales promotions, making it easier to manage pricing strategies and boost efficiency.

Field service technicians will also benefit from a new field parts inventory tool, designed to help them manage parts inventory, reservations, transfers, and returns while on the go. This feature aims to simplify inventory management and improve service delivery.

The platform now includes a structures view for product management, enabling product managers to better analyze and validate bills of materials and component item information. Additionally, a guided task for mass component replacement will help organizations improve user efficiency and minimize errors during large-scale component replacements.

In March, Oracle further enhanced its Fusion Cloud Applications Suite by integrating new generative artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, embedding these advanced tools into business workflows across various departments including finance, supply chain, human resources, sales, marketing, and service.

These updates mark Oracle’s continued commitment to evolving its technology to meet the needs of modern businesses and ensure they stay ahead in an increasingly competitive market.
