HPE Aruba Enhances Cybersecurity Network Detection

This development allows enterprises to enforce consistent access control policies across both cloud and on-premises environments

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has bolstered its AI-powered networking portfolio with the introduction of advanced network detection and response (NDR) capabilities, designed to strengthen cybersecurity defenses. Delivered through HPE Aruba Networking Central, the new solution is underpinned by behavioral analytics that detect and respond to anomalies within networks, particularly focusing on the growing threat posed by vulnerable IoT devices.

This enhanced NDR solution leverages telemetry data from HPE Aruba Networking Central's expansive data lake. By analyzing this data, AI models can monitor network activity and quickly identify unusual patterns that may signify a security breach, especially in IoT devices critical to business operations. In addition to these NDR advancements, HPE Aruba is also extending its zero trust network access (ZTNA) capabilities to campus-based local area networks (LANs). This development allows enterprises to enforce consistent access control policies across both cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring a seamless and secure user experience regardless of location or connection type.

Jon Green, Chief Technology and Security Officer at HPE Aruba Networking, noted that enterprises are increasingly recognizing the significant observability blind spot that unsecured IoT devices create within their networks, making them vulnerable to attacks. He emphasized that the new AI-driven NDR solution is designed to address this vulnerability by providing enhanced protection against evolving cyber threats. This expansion reinforces HPE Aruba's commitment to delivering cutting-edge security solutions that adapt to the growing complexities of modern network environments.
