Strengthening India’s defence and shipbuilding sectors through innovation, collaboration, and world-class quality assurance.
The quality assurance (QA) conclave, themed ‘collaborative quality assurance: bridging the gap between industry and defence’, will be held in New Delhi on February 7 at the Manekshaw Convention Centre. This significant event is organized by the Eastern Naval Command and aims to strengthen the collaboration between India’s defence and shipbuilding sectors, contributing to the country’s self-reliance in defence manufacturing.
The conclave will be an important platform to take forward the defence manufacturing ecosystem of India. It will support the vision of the Government of India towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat with the elements of innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence. It will emphasize Quality Assurance (QA) as a critical enabler in building a robust, self-sustaining shipbuilding industry that is capable of achieving global standards.
As India's shipbuilding industry assumes more predominant prominence in national defence, the conclave is going to focus on enhancing quality assurance practices for better efficiency, reliability, and overall performance while making sure that the naval platforms are equipped to meet only the very best standards of operational readiness. The conference will host senior leaders from the government, industry, and QA experts for the purpose of exchanging opinions about new strategies and best practices to be used in attaining excellence in shipbuilding quality.
Some of the salient topics that will be addressed include Proactive Quality Control and Industry Collaboration, which will discuss frameworks for quality assurance improvement through effective industry partnerships, and Integrating Quality Assurance with Delay Mitigation Strategies, which will explore innovative approaches toward aligning QA with project timelines. These discussions will be pivotal in harmonizing quality assurance practices across the defence and shipbuilding sectors, thereby enabling India to meet its defence objectives efficiently.
The conclave is likely to be a significant step towards strengthening India's naval capabilities, promoting industry-government collaboration, and ensuring quality assurance becomes part of India's success in defence manufacturing.
