At 39, The GOAT, Lionel Messi has announced his retirement from international football, bringing an extraordinary 21-year international career to a heartbreaking end. His announcement came after Argentina’s 2026 World Cup final defeat to Spain and amid the personal loss of his father, Jorge Messi.
