While discussing this topic on the “Possible Podcast,” Satya Nadella indicated that it would be necessary to apply appropriate governance structures to AI systems by assigning identities and defining permissions and access boundaries.
This happens against the backdrop of agentic AI development which is evolving from being limited to chatbot-type assistance into becoming an agent capable of conducting different activities on its own. It includes such capabilities as finding relevant data, making bookings, finishing work procedures, coding, analysis, and interacting with corporate infrastructure autonomously.
Based on the opinion expressed by Satya Nadella, enterprises face considerable governance challenges related to the implementation of agentic AI in their processes. This is because corporations have to provide agents with controlled environments or “sandboxes” where certain policies concerning the use of data and systems will be in place.
