Google India Launches 2026 AI Startup Accelerator for Seed to Series A

Three-month equity-free programme aims to scale India’s AI ecosystem with advanced tools, mentorship, and cloud infrastructure for emerging AI startups.

Google India has announced its AI startup accelerator program for 2026, targeting Indian startups at the seed and Series A stages. The equity-free program has a three-month duration and covers agentic AI, multimodal AI, physical AI, and sovereign AI startups. Startups participating in this program will receive mentorship, cloud, and model support to scale AI-led startups in India.

The programme begins with a one-week in-person bootcamp in Bengaluru in late June and concludes with a Demo Day in October. Startups will collaborate with Google experts on models such as Gemini, Gemma, Imagen, Veo, and Lyria. Eligible participants receive free Cloud TPUs, AI tools, and credits to accelerate product development, while weekly support from success managers helps track technology and growth goals.

Jonathan Silber, chief of Google’s AI Futures Fund, said, “India is a critical market for generative AI, and we believe the next unicorn founder in GenAI will emerge from here. This accelerator aims to propel startups from pilot projects to scalable, workflow-native solutions addressing population-scale challenges.” Google India has been very supportive of AI startups, especially over the last two years, and announced the Google AI Futures Fund in May 2025. The previous cohorts of Google AI startup accelerator have seen significant success, such as Dview, which saw 4x revenue growth, and Superjoin, whose AI model saw 50% improvement in terms of accuracy and latency.

The applications for the Google AI startup accelerator for 2026 are now open. The startups that are a part of this accelerator program will get world-class mentorship, infrastructure, and scaling opportunities for AI startups. Further details regarding the success stories and cohorts are expected to be announced later this year. Business Honor sees Google India’s 2026 AI startup accelerator as a key step in boosting India’s AI ecosystem, supporting early-stage startups while tackling scaling challenges.
