Five new Marriott hotels are set to expand Saudi Arabia’s tourism capacity, supporting the country’s Vision 2030 growth goals.
The travel and hospitality industry in Saudi Arabia remains on the move as Al Qimmah Hospitality, a subsidiary of BinDawood Investment, partners with Marriott International to establish five new hotels. This will result in the addition of over 2,700 rooms in the cities of Jeddah, Makkah, and Madinah. This will help the Saudi Vision 2030 objectives for the tourism industry.
These hotels will incorporate four established Marriott brands: JW Marriott, Four Points by Sheraton, Element Hotels, and the entrance of Four Points Flex by Sheraton into the Kingdom market. These will address the increasing demand by religious travelers, business travelers, and holiday travelers that the kingdom experiences.
The list includes JW Marriott Jeddah, The Apartments, situated in the Jeddah area and featuring 356 serviced apartments. In the regions of Makkah and Madinah, Four Points by Sheraton Shesha, Makkah and Four Points by Sheraton Madinah King Fahd Road will offer a total of 1,830 rooms. The locations are close enough to the holy mosques for pilgrims going for Umrah and Hajj.
The Element Madinah Sultana Road will cater to the long-stay market with its apartment-like rooms, while the Four Points Flex by Sheraton Madinah Hijrah Road will offer the mid-scale market comfortable accommodations at competitive rates.
This partnership enhances Marriott International’s existing strong presence in Saudi Arabia, where it currently has over 100 hotels open and in development. This project will help develop the tourism infrastructure, provide jobs, and increase Saudi Arabia’s esteemed status in the international travel sector.
