Eric Hinson, an experienced pilot and executive, becomes FlightSafety CEO, leading worldwide aviation training into a safer, more innovative future.
FlightSafety International Inc. has appointed Eric Hinson as its new CEO, a major leadership shift and a homecoming for the longtime aviation executive. Hinson succeeds Barbara Telek, the former president who retired recently. With Hinson as CEO, the company is expected to speed up its strategic goals, increase international growth, and raise industry training standards.

His aviation career began as a navy aviator, flying tactical aircraft for training, fleet, and operational test squadrons. He continues to fly as an ATP-rated pilot with over 5,000 hours, this adds direct experience to his new position.
He has also held top positions at several major aviation businesses, like Honeywell, Gulfstream, and Piaggio Aerospace. Hinson stated that, “I am truly happy to return to FlightSafety International at an important moment for the business and aviation industry.” “Together, we will continue to improve innovation and operations, while providing outstanding safety experiences for our customers.”
FlightSafety International, a worldwide leader in aviation training, operates the world's largest fleet of modern flight simulators and trains pilots and technicians from over 170 nations.
