Bitget Wallet now lets users convert stablecoins to local currency and send money directly to bank accounts quickly and securely.
Bitget Wallet, an established everyday banking software, has added a bank transfer feature in Nigeria and Mexico, allowing users to quickly convert USDT and USDC into local currencies and transfer funds directly to bank accounts. The program allows users to pay businesses, send money to friends and family, and collect payments directly from their digital currency wallet, making stablecoins more practical for everyday use.
This is the first time a worldwide crypto wallet has allowed stablecoin-to-bank transfers on a major scale in these locations, reducing the need for peer-to-peer platforms or centrally managed exchanges. Users just select a cryptocurrency, enter the amount and the recipient's bank account information, and confirm the transaction. Bitget Wallet's licensed partners handle cash conversion and payment through controlled channels to ensure quick processing, security, and reliability. The feature set currently supports over 45 banks in Nigeria and more than 35 in Mexico, with payments being done in minutes, and it works on the BNB Chain, Ethereum, Solana, Tron, and Base networks.
Bitget Wallet connects digital assets to real-world spending by combining crypto payments with standard banking infrastructure. Stablecoins are becoming an important means of investing in developing nations, as cryptocurrency is increasingly being used to hold and move wealth in the face of inflation. According to Chainalysis, Nigeria and Mexico process more than $160 billion in annual on-chain volume.
The new feature simplifies what was once slow, risky, and costly while reducing exposure to exchange-rate volatility and shortages of liquidity. Jamie Elkaleh, CMO of Bitget Wallet, stated, "Stablecoins are quickly becoming an additional component of everyday payments, and connecting them to local banking systems is the next step in that transformation." The Bank Transfer feature supports Bitget Wallet's current features, which include crypto cards, QR payments, and in-app purchasing, and will soon be available in new areas. Looking ahead, Bitget Wallet predicts a future in which cryptocurrency transfers as easily as cash, resulting in a truly unlimited, digital-first economy.
