Award-winning drama returns with fresh challenges, star power, and deeper media themes.
Apple TV+ has officially renewed its acclaimed drama series “The Morning Show” for a fifth season, just ahead of its Season 4 premiere on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Starring and executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, the Emmy-winning series has been Apple TV+'s biggest hit since its arrival. Praised for its fearless storytelling, standout performances, and examination of timely media topics, The Morning Show continues to draw viewers worldwide.
Season 4 resumes almost two years after Season 3. With the UBA-NBN merger complete, the network now faces fresh dangers in a changing media environment. The season will delve into deepfakes, conspiracy theories, and corporate secrecy — forcing characters to wonder what's real and whom they can trust. The ensemble cast returning is Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Greta Lee, Karen Pittman, Nicole Beharie, Nestor Carbonell, and Jon Hamm. New cast members joining Season 4 are Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Aaron Pierre, Boyd Holbrook, and William Jackson Harper.
The series is produced by Charlotte Stoudt and directed by Mimi Leder, who also executive produces. Media Res, Hello Sunshine, and Echo Films are responsible for production. The Morning Show has won numerous Emmy Awards since its initial release and has received recognition from the American Film Institute. The show remains a flagship of Apple TV+, with the series blending high-stakes drama and topical social commentary. All three prior seasons are streaming, and with Season 4 premiering worldwide this week, fans have something to anticipate in Season 5, even more compelling tales.
