Stefan Steil joins Moventum as CIO to drive digital innovation and enhance IT infrastructure.
Luxembourg-based financial services group Moventum has added to its leadership team by the appointment of Stefan Steil as Chief Information Officer (CIO), a major milestone for the firm's digital and technological development. Steil, who was working for Moventum since 2011 and has extensive tenure within the company's IT department, officially became CIO after serving as head of IT Infrastructure since January 2024. He has been serving on the executive committee since December 2024, emphasizing his central role in shaping the company's technology direction.
As CIO, Stefan Steil will streamline Moventum's IT processes, improve its infrastructure, and establish a secure, scalable, and future-proofed platform to support the development of the company. Steil's experience was highlighted by CEO Louis Wright as being instrumental in enabling technological innovation and operational effectiveness within the business. "Owing to his experience, we will maximize our processes, further develop our infrastructure, and construct a robust, secure and future-proofed platform," Wright explained.
Steil's elevation occurs as Moventum is scaling up its online presence via its crowning jewel platform, MoventumOffice, through which advisors, asset managers, and institutional investors get access to more than 10,000 financial products, in addition to high-end management, analysis, and reporting capabilities. His leadership will play a key role in maintaining and augmenting the technological foundations behind such services to keep Moventum ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving financial technology landscape.
This promotion of a full-time CIO is also a reflection of the overall strategy of Moventum to decentralize leadership functions as the firm grows. Together with CEO Louis Wright and COO Andrew Walker, Steil's addition to the executive committee will make the company more innovative and responsive to technological challenges and opportunities. His position will play a key role in defining the future of Moventum's IT strategy and facilitating the company's digital transformation program.
