Akasa Air has hired Abhishek Gupta as CIO (Chief Information Officer) after his exit from Dish TV. Gupta will join Akasa Air after spending over a decade with the broadcaster, where he held roles such as Vice President of IT and later Corporate Head of IT. According to ANI, Gupta’s experience includes IT modernisation, cloud adoption, digital transformation and AI deployment.

Abhishek Gupta started his journey with Dish TV in 2015 and became Corporate Head of IT in 2019. During his time at Dish TV, he focused on IT upgrades, cloud integration, digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

Prior to Dish TV, Gupta worked at Ericsson as a Practice Lead for almost three years. Before that, he worked as Head of Corporate IT at Orange Business Services India. He earned his engineering degree from Delhi College of Engineering and his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.

Gupta posted on LinkedIn about leaving Dish TV, expressing gratitude to his former colleagues. “My journey at Dish TV has been filled with opportunities, challenges, and learning,” he said. He also described the farewell from his team as “truly special and deeply touching.”
