Delta Air Lines is introducing enhanced food and beverage options on its network of routes this summer, improving the in-flight experience for customers in all classes. In response to customer demands, Delta is introducing popular meal choices, snacks, and drinks on additional flights to enhance the quality of the in-flight dining experience.
Delta One, the airline's premium service, is getting a boost with the addition of a menu created by James Beard Award-winning Chef Mashama Bailey. Offered only on Atlanta-bound flights at first, the menu was so successful that Delta has added it to many domestic and international routes. Signature meals such as shrimp and grits in spicy creole sauce and artichoke ravioli with panna sauce and roasted cherry tomatoes are now offered on Delta One flights from cities including Minneapolis-St. Paul, Seattle, Tampa, and Cincinnati. Business class customers on a variety of domestic airports, including New York LaGuardia, Chicago O'Hare, and Philadelphia, also get to experience these upgraded meals.
Besides the new meals, Delta is revamping its in-flight wine list, introducing five new varietals, such as Geografico Brunello di Montalcino and Gerard Bertrand Rosé, to pair with the refreshed menu. Delta is also increasing its collaboration with Shake Shack, introducing the legendary burger meal to Delta First flyers in eight additional cities this summer, and making the Shake Shack experience accessible on flights out of 13 cities. For all customers, Delta is bringing new, wholesome choices through Farmer's Fridge on flights longer than 1,500 miles from Los Angeles International Airport. New options include breakfast food such as berries and granola Greek yogurt and pineapple coconut chia seed pudding, in addition to lunch options such as a pesto pasta bowl and baja chicken wrap.
Finally, for customers looking for a free snack, Cheez-It crackers are returning to the Delta main cabin, providing a comforting and salty delight for customers. During the summer season, Delta is aimed at transforming its food and beverage selection to offer diverse, high-quality choices on every flight.
