Swvl Signs First UK SaaS Deal, Expands into European Market

Swvl enters UK with SaaS contract, showcasing scalable tech and targeting European growth.

A major international supplier of technology based mobility solutions for businesses and governments, Swvl Holdings Co announced the signing of its first Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) contract in the UK. The agreement is a major achievement in Swvl's continuous attempts to expand its SaaS footprint globally and is the company's first venture into the European market.

With this UK-based contract Swvl is introducing its unique mobility management platform to a new market enabling enterprise clients to enhance route planning, track fleets in real time and digitize operations. We think this shows how Swvl's platform can be adjusted to meet operational and regulatory needs in a variety of markets and highlights the growing desire for technology-first mobility solutions in developed transportation sectors.

The UK rollout attempts to address what we consider to be an important issue that businesses, warehouses, colleges and schools face: disjointed and ineffective commuting operations. Swvl's SaaS platform addresses these problems and provides companies with a robust toolkit to move from manual scheduling and fragmented communication based on data, economical and sustainable travel activities. This stack of digitalization comprises a Rider App, Driver App and Client Portal.

According to Swvl CEO Mostafa Kandil, the deal is more than just a contract; it is a confirmation of the platform's worldwide applicability. Kandil explained that signing their first SaaS agreement in the UK showcases how adaptable and scalable Swvl’s technology is, reinforcing its potential to meet the needs of clients on an international scale. Kandil also stated Europe as a key planned growth area, viewing this achievement as the start of a new chapter in Swvl’s expansion journey.
