David Jones partners with Qantas Frequent Flyer to introduce a new loyalty program that offers customers the opportunity to earn and use rewards for travel and shopping.
David Jones will introduce David Jones Rewards, a new loyalty program in collaboration with Qantas Frequent Flyer, later this year. Customers can earn and use both offline and online David Jones Rewards Points or Qantas Points according to the agreement.
Customers are allowed to spend Qantas Points on various kinds of rewards, such as hotel stays, travel, and upgrades. With over 55 million visitors to the store and 110 million online every year, David Jones expects a high level of interest from Qantas frequent flyers, most of whom are currently customers. Customers, bankers, and lifestyle buyers earn a majority of Qantas Points on the ground.
The loyalty program focuses on David Jones's new mobile app, allowing users to track points and enjoy special offers. Scott Fyfe, CEO of David Jones, called the collaboration a crucial part of the business's Vision 2025+ strategy that aims to offer customers much greater choice and quality. Jones said, "We are honored to combine two renowned Australian brands to provide a first-rate loyalty experience."
According to Andrew Glance, CEO of Qantas Loyalty, 17 million frequent flyer customers will benefit from the agreement. "This partnership will offer them more ways to earn points on their everyday spending, as fifty percent of them already shop at David Jones." While the partnership develops, David Jones and Qantas' goal is to redefine the loyalty program by combining travel and shopping into a single, satisfying lifestyle experience.
