In a massive show of confidence for India's growing education technology sector, Hyderabad-based EdTech Company WeXL Edu has been acquired by GACM Technologies for Rs 500 crore. The move is a strategic entry by GACM in the field of Artificial Intelligence-based learning technologies and also marks the position of artificial intelligence in shaping the future of education. Established with the vision of transforming learning through innovation, WeXL Edu deals in AI-driven solutions for schools, colleges, universities, and corporates. Its lead product, AI BET (Bharat English Test), provides a 15-minute CEFR-aligned diagnostic to test and certify English language skills. The firm asserts that this solution can boost student admissions conversion directly, particularly in competitive academic settings.
Aside from English diagnostics, WeXL offers customized learning pathways, subjective grading by AI, and a micro-learning program aimed at enhancing student results and teacher effectiveness. Its Command Control Centre allows teachers to monitor pupil performance in real-time, permitting quicker, evidence-based interventions. "WeXL seeks to be an international leader in AI, providing 'Make in India,' patented solutions for the next generation of learning," the company reports on its site.
