Firstsource Solutions Appoints Shamita Mukherjee as Chief Human Resources Officer

Shamita Mukherjee to lead people strategy and drive transformation at Firstsource Solutions.

Firstsource Solutions Ltd., a global BPM leader and member of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, has named Shamita Mukherjee as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) from today. Mukherjee's joining marks a pivotal moment as the company looks to create a future-proof, people-centric organization amidst ongoing industry evolution.

In her new position, Mukherjee will oversee Firstsource's people strategy, including building employee engagement, improving agility, and instilling a culture of continuous learning and adaptability. Her guidance will be key to aligning the company's human capital with its aggressive growth plans, especially as Firstsource ramps up its UnBPOTM framework—an innovative strategy that balances automation with human potential.

Ritesh Idnani, Firstsource Managing Director & CEO, welcomed Mukherjee to the company and said he was thrilled to have her on board. He added that her long experience in talent management and her emphasis on people-driven innovation will be instrumental as the company develops its UnBPOTM initiative and creates a dynamic, future-proofed workforce.

Mukherjee has more than 30 years of experience as an HR leader. Before this, she worked as the Global CHRO of Infosys BPM. She has been an HR leader, a consultant, and an entrepreneur and has a record of successfully bringing about meaningful transformations in the workforce. Mukherjee is a graduate of XLRI Jamshedpur and a holder of a degree in mathematical statistics from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi. She looks forward to joining Firstsource at this pivotal stage of organizational change.
