Cloud-based system migrations to streamline operations, enhance compliance, and boost innovation.
Monex, Inc., a prominent online brokerage firm in Japan, has announced its strategic decision to migrate its JASDEC Processing Solutions (JASDECPS) system to Broadridge Financial Solutions’ advanced cloud-based SaaS platform. The migration is set to go live in May 2026, positioning Monex to meet the evolving demands of the upcoming JASDEC2025 regulatory requirements while boosting operational efficiency and business agility.
The move to a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) model reflects a growing trend among financial institutions to modernize legacy systems, reduce IT maintenance costs, and improve scalability. By utilizing Broadridge’s trusted cloud infrastructure, Monex aims to eliminate the burdens of hardware procurement and system upgrades, instead focusing resources on core business growth and customer service excellence.
“This transition will allow Monex to provide more stable and adaptive services amid Japan’s evolving financial ecosystem,” said Motoki Kitamura, Expert Director of Operations at Monex, Inc. “With Broadridge’s global expertise and deep local understanding, we’re confident in our ability to remain at the forefront of innovation and compliance.”
Broadridge’s SaaS platform supports full straight-through processing (STP), ensuring seamless integration with JASDEC’s upcoming system updates while automating key elements of the transaction lifecycle. This means Monex can quickly adapt to market changes, reduce operational risk, and benefit from regular release upgrades managed entirely by Broadridge.
“Monex’s decision to adopt our SaaS platform demonstrates our commitment to helping firms navigate complex regulatory transitions with minimal disruption,” added David Runacres, President of APAC and Senior Country Officer of Japan at Broadridge. “We’re proud to support Monex in this transformative journey.”
This latest development strengthens a decade-long collaboration between the two firms, underscoring their shared commitment to innovation, compliance, and long-term success in Japan’s highly regulated financial market.
With cloud-based solutions gaining traction in financial services, Monex’s migration signals a broader industry shift toward operational resilience, cost-efficiency, and digital transformation.
