Man of Many recertified carbon-neutral, setting ambitious 30% emissions reduction and net-zero goals by 2030.
Man of Many has been recertified as a 100% carbon-neutral digital publisher by the Federal Government's Climate Active Certification, cementing its position as Australia's first digital publisher to be accredited with such a highly sought-after accreditation. The recertification is the business's ongoing commitment to being a green business and to lowering its carbon footprint.
Carbon neutral is not undertaken lightly. Man of Many is serious about Scope 1, 2, and relevant Scope 3 emissions. It has made a number of concrete efforts, such as the transition to renewable energy, the replacement of light bulbs with energy-efficient alternatives, and reducing business travel. These are only a few instances of its strong commitment to sustainability that runs throughout the business.
We're stoked to once again achieve Climate Active certification," said Man of Many co-founder Scott Purcell. "Sustainability is not a check in a box for us; it's the foundation of everything we do, from partnerships through to day-to-day operations."
Man of Many also supports local environmental causes by purchasing Australian carbon credit units (ACCUs), helping to fund Australian carbon-offsetting projects. This not only reduces emissions but also aids local communities and environmental charities.
The company's commitment to the environment in 2024 was also awarded the B&T Award for the Planet. The award is recognition of their ongoing commitment to inspiring positive action in the world of media.
In the future, Man of Many has ambitious plans to reduce emissions by 30% by 2027 (against its 2022 baseline) and be net-zero in 2030. These plans reaffirm the business's commitment to sustainable digital publishing and raising the bar for the rest of the industry.
