Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S25 Slim offers a sleek design, powerful specs, and advanced camera features.
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S25 Slim series, besides the standard model S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. Being the thinnest model among the new additions, the Galaxy S25 Slim has been leaked in detail along with its overall design and features.
One expectation for the S25 Slim, therefore, could well be a record ultra-skinny profile of 6.4 mm with the S24+ weighing 7.7 mm-thin. Of course, for its users who fancy more compacted devices, at the expense perhaps of somewhat higher battery drainage as well as somewhat higher temperatures, this design won't help matters.
The new model will likely sport a 6.7-inch to 6.8-inch display because the screen size is on par with that of the S25+. The battery, however, would most likely range from 3,000 mAh to 4,000 mAh, due to its slim design. It's a relatively small battery size for a flagship, and it cannot even compete with most phones in the market, especially since the Poco X7 Pro has a 6,550mAh battery.
Performance-wise, the Galaxy S25 Slim will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 12GB of RAM, and Android 15, paired with One UI 7. Early prototype benchmarks indicate a score of 3,005 on a single core and 6,945 on multi-core. It is possible that the actual performance will be different due to the fact that the device is still a prototype and can potentially have some issues with heat dissipation in a slim form factor.
The S25 Slim will feature a triple-camera arrangement, with 200MP, 50MP ultra-wide, and 50MP telephoto configurations with 3.5x optical zoom on board, allowing for some incredibly high-quality camera performance.
While Samsung is likely to announce more in-depth details about its Galaxy S25 Slim at an unpacked event on January 22, a formal release is expected later this year in 2025.
