Enhancing AI development with secure, cost-effective, and high-performance virtual workstation solutions.
Citrix, a Cloud Software Group, Inc. business unit, has partnered with NVIDIA to release AI virtual workstations based on NVIDIA Virtual GPU (vGPU) technology. The partnership promises to revolutionize the way that enterprises create and prototype artificial intelligence (AI) applications using a more secure, less costly, and more streamlined platform.
AI solution development is most often taken with cost-defeating expenses, months-long duration, and stringent security and compliance mandates, especially in healthcare, financial, and government domains. Integration of Citrix DaaS and NVIDIA RTX Virtual Workstation is intended to counter such roadblocks by enabling businesses to develop and test their AI solutions on their own hardware for cost savings without the risk of exposing proprietary data to open large language models (LLMs).
Sridhar Mullapudi, co-president of Citrix, emphasized the increased interest among companies in data security and the cost of developing AI. He explained that the alliance allows organizations to utilize existing Citrix environments to drive AI application development with security and compliance.
With the convergence of Citrix DaaS and NVIDIA AI Virtual Workstation, organizations can build and prototype AI-based applications in a secure way without risking leakage of data to public LLMs. It also enables firms to lower AI development costs using GPUs already implemented in their hardware, cutting down AI delivery by several orders of magnitude. Citrix Enterprise Browser convergence allows the secure delivery of production AI apps to enhance security and user experience.
Bob Pette, NVIDIA Vice President of Enterprise Platforms, said that this collaboration will unlock new AI applications, improving security, productivity, and efficiency for business. Utilizing Citrix virtualization technology and NVIDIA high-end GPU solutions, this collaboration gives businesses a solid solution to drive AI innovation securely and affordably, making it possible to extend AI adoption across industries.
