L&T Technology Services and Tele2 collaborate to improve transportation with IoT/M2M solutions.

L&T Technology Services, a fully owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, an engineering giant, said that it has teamed up with Tele2, a telecom operator based in Europe, to collaboratively develop solutions centered on the Internet of Things (IoT) and machine-to-machine (M2M).

The partnership will assist clients of Tele2 and L&T Technology Services in putting solutions into place that will shorten their time to market. According to the statement, the idea of a connected world is evolving beyond time and cost advantages and now focuses on improving user experience in addition to increasing operational efficiency and lowering development and operating costs.

The transportation market has a lot of promise thanks to the collaboration between Tele2, which has established itself as the leading supplier of convergent communication services, and L&T Technology Services, an engineering service major with extensive domain expertise in the transportation sector. For OEMs, operators, and consumers, remote engine performance management, data collection, and analytics of critical parameters from off-highway vehicles, engines, and coaches will greatly increase operational efficiencies, improve warranty and service management, and enhance the end-user experience.

The transportation and commercial mass transit vertical (which includes auto, aero, rail, shipping, off-highway, and specialty vehicles) as well as all related ancillary and related businesses will be the initial focus of this cooperation.

L&T Technology Services CEO Dr. Keshab Panda said he was thrilled about the collaboration with Tele2, highlighting the possible advantages for the mass transit and transportation sectors. He emphasized that the partnership will offer a great chance to improve client services and establish a more secure, connected experience by fusing Tele2's solutions with L&T's engineering know-how and infrastructure understanding.

Tele2 M2M Global Solutions Head Rami Avidan expressed his excitement about the collaboration as well. Through innovative business models, he anticipates that their combined experience will promote cost-consciousness and efficiency in the transportation sector.
