Acronis Appoints Gerald Beuchelt as New CISO

Acronis appoints Gerald Beuchelt as CISO to lead global cybersecurity strategy and strengthen data protection initiatives.

Acronis announced the appointment of Gerald Beuchelt as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). He will lead the global information security strategy for Acronis, protecting the company's data, systems, and technologies. His appointment marks a crucial step in advancing Acronis' mission is to safeguard all data, applications, and systems worldwide.

Beuchelt brings over ten years of cybersecurity leadership experience-most recently as Chief Information Security Officer at Sprinklr Inc, and prior at LogMeIn. He held significant roles leading the security activities as Chief Security Officer at Demandware (which is now part of Salesforce), and Principal Information Security Engineer, the MITRE Corporation. Beuchelt has deep experience in shaping strong security infrastructure and strategies tackling complex, maturing cyber threats.

As CISO, Beuchelt will lead a global team of IT, security, and compliance professionals in managing corporate IT infrastructure, help desk operations, server management, and network security. Key to his role is driving Acronis' cybersecurity research and its influence within the cybersecurity community through the Acronis Threat Research Unit (TRU).

Gerald Beuchelt is excited to be part of Acronis, expressing the company's commitment to making security solutions scalable and accessible for service providers, enterprises, SMBs, and individual users. More recently, he is working on enhancing the security posture of Acronis to counter modern threats and informing people about the solutions being offered by the company.
