Apple releases iOS 18.2 with critical security patches, new Apple Intelligence features, and ends support for iOS 17 on compatible devices.
Apple has released iOS 18.2, which brings significant updates, new Apple Intelligence features, and 21 essential security patches for iPhones. For most iPhone users, iOS 18.2 is a good enough reason to upgrade to iOS 18. The release includes critical security fixes, particularly for the iPhone Kernel and WebKit—the engine that powers the Safari browser—addressing vulnerabilities that could allow an attacker to execute malicious code on your device. Along with the iOS 18.2 update, Apple has also released iOS 17.7.3 for the older devices.
