Citrix strengthens its security offerings with acquisitions of DeviceTrust and Strong Network, enhancing product capabilities and partner opportunities.
Citrix enhances its existing security capabilities by acquiring Germany-based DeviceTrust and Switzerland-based Strong Network has two recently finalized acquisitions. These additions will bolster Citrix's product offerings, providing expanded security platforms that improve serviceability and deliver a robust, dependable experience for its partners.
According to Sridhar Mullapudi executive vice president and general manager of Cloud Software Group, parent company of Citrix, the acquisitions will be part of Citrix's broader strategy of developing its products continually and in parallel pursuing strategic acquisitions. According to Mullapudi, solutions by Citrix, including Windows 365 and NetScaler, are gaining market share and providing value to customers and partners alike in terms of reduced costs and driving services revenue.
Addition of contextual access management into the virtual desktop infrastructure of Citrix, enabling organizations to monitor and respond to changes in device posture and user location. This new functionality secures because the system continuously evaluates attestation for devices and allows or revokes access in real time. Strong Network provides a cloud-based development environment, instead focusing on the data loss prevention and other security measures like phishing and malware, securing Citrix better.
Another important development for the channel has been the on-going channel development by Citrix. The company noted that it has now passed through the highest percentage of business during the last five years through the channel. The Preferred Services Partner accreditation granted by Citrix to select partners, therefore, endorses the capabilities and competencies of the chosen partners and consequently strengthens the entire partner ecosystem.
