Xilam's popular series, including Oggy Oggy and Athleticus, expand in Central Eastern Europe.

Xilam Animation has won a new series of broadcast deals across Central Eastern Europe, adding over 637 hours of content to leading broadcasters in the region. The studio secured a deal with RTL Klub Hungary, which picked up 170 hours of content, and several major broadcasters that acquired hit shows like Oggy Oggy, Athleticus, Pfffirates, and Where's Chicky?.

The sports comedy series Athleticus, of Xilam, is another highlight of theirs. That's been pre-acquired for a wide distribution reach in many parts of the world, among other broadcasters that cover the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics such as MTVA Hungary, Ceska TV from Czech Republic, HRT in Croatia, RTVS in Slovakia and finally Kanal 2 Estonia. Xilam's preschool hit Oggy Oggy also generated significant deals, with HRT in Croatia picking up the first season (78 x 7') and RTVS in Slovakia pre-buying If I Were An Animal, a children's wildlife docuseries (52 x 5'). Xilam Animation’s media distribution SVP, Céline Carenco, commented on the expansion, highlighting the growing popularity of the company’s content in the region. She emphasized how Athleticus, in particular, captured the Olympic fever and provided a unique, offbeat appeal with its animal characters.

The French studio has also negotiated some remarkable agreements in Ukraine by selling more than 224 hours of popular slapstick series to broadcasters 1+1 and Megogo. Other deals include a renewal of RTL Croatia for Oggy and the Cockroaches seasons five through seven and Zig & Sharko, seasons one to three. On the other end, PRO TV in Romania also added all of Zig & Sharko on Voyo.

The growth of Xilam in the region continues with new partnerships: Paprika and Where's Chicky? with Kidzone in the Baltics.
