The updated pre-call screen enhances usability, allowing users to initiate or schedule calls more seamlessly. During active calls, the new call controls positioned at the bottom of the screen offer easy access to essential functions. A notable addition is the expanded suite of visual effects, including backgrounds, filters, and accessories. Users can now stack these features to customize their video presence, whether for professional polish or personal fun. The update also brings an improved audio-only mode for users on the move and introduces live captions in over 70 languages, making meetings more accessible globally.

As Google Meet evolves to meet both personal and professional needs, users are encouraged to keep their app updated to benefit from the latest features. If participants on a call have not yet upgraded, the platform will revert to the previous interface, ensuring compatibility and a consistent experience. Google promises ongoing enhancements based on user feedback to further refine the platform.
