Silicon Valley-based robotics innovator, Figure, has introduced its cutting-edge Figure 02, a next-generation conversational humanoid robot, poised to redefine the landscape of autonomous tasks across various industries. Leveraging the advanced capabilities of NVIDIA Omniverse and NVIDIA GPUs, Figure 02 promises to deliver unprecedented performance, underscoring the company’s commitment to addressing global labor shortages with intelligent automation.

In a significant stride forward, Figure 02 was recently deployed for data collection and use-case training at BMW Group’s production facility in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This real-world application not only highlights the robot's potential but also underscores the rapid pace of Figure's development, coming just 10 months after the launch of its first general-purpose humanoid robot.

The accelerated progress is largely attributed to the integration of NVIDIA Isaac Sim, a powerful tool within the NVIDIA Omniverse platform, enabling the design, training, and testing of AI-driven robots with synthetic data. Coupled with NVIDIA GPUs, these innovations allow for the training of generative AI models, pushing the boundaries of what humanoid robots can achieve.

A key enhancement in Figure 02 is the addition of a second NVIDIA RTX GPU-based module, which delivers three times the inference capability compared to its predecessor. This significant upgrade empowers Figure 02 to execute fully autonomous AI-driven tasks with remarkable efficiency, setting a new standard in the robotics industry.

As Figure continues to push the envelope in robotic technology, the company remains steadfast in its goal to commercialize industrial humanoid robots and is laying the groundwork for future consumer-oriented versions.
