Gulf Oil Lubricants India appoints Abhijit Kulkarni as Chief Commercial Officer to lead its B2C and B2B operations and marketing initiatives.
Gulf Oil Lubricants India appoints Abhijit Kulkarni as its new Chief Commercial Officer. In the said role, he will lead the business operations of the business across both B2C and B2B segments, excluding OEM. Further, he will look after driving synergies and leading all marketing initiatives of the company. He will report to Ravi Chawla, Managing Director of Gulf Oil Lubricants India.
Kulkarni brings more than two decades of experience in leadership roles across some of the world's most renowned multinational companies, including Unilever, Castrol, and Coca-Cola. Before joining Gulf Oil, Kulkarni spent 16 years at Unilever, where he held various senior positions. Most notably, he was Cluster General Manager for Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam, where he led the ice cream business and had P&L responsibilities across these markets.
Kulkarni has extensive experience across the Indian and international markets. He has proven expertise in driving business growth and managing large-scale operations in dynamic environments. His background in leading teams, managing complex portfolios, and fostering strategic partnerships positions him well to drive Gulf Oil's commercial success as it continues to expand its market presence.
He is an alumnus of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) holding an MBA. He has graduated in Bachelor of Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Pune, (COEP). The appointment would signal commitment from the management at Gulf Oil in building and maintaining its strong leadership team for a sustained run on the trajectory of growth.
Given his diverse experience in leadership, Kulkarni is expected to be that instrument for Gulf Oil to further its mission of being a leader in the lubricant market while helping increase its value proposition to consumers and businesses alike.
