About Jean-François Chalifoux
Jean-François Chalifoux is the CEO and President of Beneva. Mr. Jean-François Chalifoux led SSQ Insurance for five years prior to Beneva. With more than 2,000 employees, $13 billion in assets under management, and $2.5 billion in consolidated insurance premiums, SSQ Insurance was one of Canada's biggest insurance companies under his direction.
Having held multiple senior positions at significant Canadian insurance companies, Jean-François Chalifoux has a wealth of general and personal insurance knowledge. He is a graduate of the Queen's Executive Development Program and a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. Additionally, he graduated from Université Laval with a Bachelor of Science in actuarial sciences.
He along with Jean St-Gelais, the chair of the board at Beneva, were both named the 2020 Financial Personality of the Year by Finance et Investissement in 2021. Jean-François values his family life and is a father to three sons in addition to his professional achievements.
