Google Introduces New Gemini Tools to Help Small Businesses Save Time

Google is rolling out new Gemini tools for small businesses, offering brand design, financial insights and app connections to simplify daily work.

  • Google is introducing a dedicated business hub inside the Gemini app

  • New tools support brand design, marketing and financial analysis

  • Gemini can connect with Google services and third-party business apps

  • Small business owners are using Gemini for tasks ranging from farming plans to customer communications

  • The new features will roll out globally in the coming days

Google has launched its Gemini tools to assist small businesses with branding, finance, and customer insights in one place. It has updated its app with a business landing page and additional marketing and finance tools to help save time on routine business tasks. These Google Gemini tools for small businesses aim to make daily operations easier, while the new AI tools for small business management offer support with tasks such as marketing and financial analysis.

According to Google's India blog, written by Vishnu Sivaji, Senior Director of the Gemini app, tens of millions of small business owners rely on Gemini to generate product ideas, understand customer feedback, and analyse business performance. Google has designed its new Gemini tools to help business owners save time on administrative work and focus on running their businesses.

This new landing page serves as the main hub for business activities. For instance, Gemini can connect with Google Business Profile, Google Ads, and Google Workspace, as well as third-party software such as Adobe, Canva, Dropbox, Shopify, Wix, Zoho, and Xero.

Companies can use the landing page to upload their websites, brand kits, fonts, and colour palettes to create a consistent visual identity. Gemini uses Google's Nano Banana 2.1 image-generation model to create visuals for marketing campaigns and product launches. According to Google, the app can remember brand preferences, eliminating the need to upload the guidelines every time.

These finance tools allow users to turn unstructured spreadsheets, receipts, and purchase records into financial graphics and models. Business owners can view their data in simple language instead of analysing large amounts of information manually.

Google provided examples of small business owners who have used Gemini. For instance, Santosh Jadhav, an Indian farmer and content creator from Maharashtra, used Gemini to assess soil suitability, calculate seed requirements, and plan an investment budget for ginger farming. Gumilang, an Indonesian entrepreneur from Jakarta, used Gemini to create the visual identity and partnership proposals for Barelz Arena. Morgane, a ceramic artist from Bordeaux, said Gemini helps her save two to three hours each day by drafting product descriptions, newsletters, and social media posts.

Google explained that these new features and connected apps will roll out globally to Gemini app users over the next few days. The separate Gemini for business offering is available for larger enterprises that need centralised management and enterprise-grade security. Business Honor observes that these tools could help small businesses handle routine tasks more efficiently, although their value will depend on how well they fit into daily operations.
