US President Donald Trump says he believes Mojtaba Khamenei is alive but seriously wounded, while predicting that the war with Iran could end “fairly soon.” Trump made the comments in an interview but provided no evidence to support his assessment of Khamenei’s condition.
Trump said the left side of Mojtaba Khamenei’s body, including his arm and leg, was severely injured. He also pointed to statements from Iranian officials who have continued referring to consultations with the supreme leader.
The lack of clear information about Mojtaba Khamenei comes as Washington continues to claim that Iran has suffered major military and economic losses.
