Prusa USA Rebrand Accelerates U.S. 3D Printing Manufacturing Expansion

Former Printed Solid officially becomes Prusa USA as the company strengthens American production, supply chain resilience, and customer support for the growing additive manufacturing market.

Prusa Research has officially rebranded its U.S. subsidiary, Printed Solid, as Prusa USA, marking a significant step in its U.S. 3D printing manufacturing expansion strategy while strengthening its presence in the rapidly growing additive manufacturing industry. The brand move will boost the company's position in the fast-growing additive manufacturing industry.

Printed Solid, which was taken over by Prusa Research last year in 2022, will now trade under Prusa USA, with the business operations of the company remaining the same. Company officials stated that the rebranding process will only be focused on the company name and not on the business operations.

From the 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility located in Wilmington, Delaware, Prusa USA produces Original Prusa MK4S and Prusa CORE One+ 3D printers, as well as Prusament and Jessie-brand PLA and PETG filaments. This facility also doubles as the company's official fulfillment and service center within the U.S.

According to Prusa, the expansion of the manufacturing process within the U.S. allows the firm to be closer to its biggest customer base and to avoid any issues related to the supply chain. However, some parts will still be supplied from its headquarters in Prague.

This rebranding is coming after changes in leadership at Printed Solid, including the resignation of the company's former CEO David Randolph and its chief sales and marketing officer Chris Pelesky, who still play an active role in the overall 3D printing industry.

In addition, this news comes amid increasing debates about proposed laws in the United States on consumer 3D printers. While there are regulatory disputes being discussed, Prusa has reiterated its dedication to openness, reparability, and secured manufacturing services for its corporate and governmental clients.

As global demands for additive manufacturing are continuously increasing, the Prusa USA rebrand allows the firm to develop its capacity to manufacture in the United States, along with future expansion in the North American market. Business Honor views Prusa USA's rebranding as a strategic move that strengthens domestic manufacturing capabilities while supporting long-term growth in the rapidly expanding 3D printing industry.
