Shenzhen Lanmage wins prestigious awards for its AI diaphragm imaging technology that improves the accuracy of respiratory diagnosis and reduces radiation exposure globally.
Shenzhen Lanmage Medical Technology Co., Ltd. has won the prestigious Radiography Product Innovation award in the Healthcare Asia Medtech Awards 2026. The company has developed a new product that is designed for AI-assisted dynamic diaphragm imaging. It is used for the early detection of respiratory diseases. Helping doctors in detecting respiratory conditions related to breathing by overcoming the limitations of traditional chest X-ray imaging, which is usually ineffective in detecting small movements of the diaphragm in early stages of respiratory diseases like COPD or after surgery.
The system has a dual AI imaging capability. It has neural network technology that can detect even small movements in the lungs, as small as 0.1 mm, with a sensitivity of 98.2%. It has a separate module that uses a 4D medical imaging reconstruction engine for analyzing the motion of the diaphragm, enabling doctors to see how it is moving in real-time. There is a separate module that uses this technology for detecting conditions like atelectasis and pneumothorax with a high degree of accuracy of 97.5%.
The device detects breathing patterns in small intervals, detecting abnormal patterns associated with more than 12 different breathing diseases. It also enables artificial intelligence-based radiography for COPD differentiation, with an accuracy rate of 91% in detecting different types of COPD. Most significantly, the device reduces radiation doses by 40%. This fits in with low-dose diagnostic imaging technologies in healthcare.
In a study done in 37 different hospitals in 2024, the results were impressive. The study showed a reduction in misdiagnosis in early stages of tuberculosis by 36%. Additionally, doctors were able to save 22 minutes in making diagnoses and is 30% cheaper compared to similar medical imaging devices, making it suitable for affordable AI medical imaging technologies in emerging countries. Business honor has the opinion that these medical innovations are likely to make medical imaging more accurate, affordable, and accessible.
