Fluency secures $40M to use AI agents, supporting businesses and agencies manage digital ad campaigns automatically and efficiently.
Fluency, an adtech business offers AI agents in order to support businesses and agencies to handle digital ad campaigns automatically. It announced that it had raised $40 million in a Series A funding round, which was fully supported by Integrity Growth Partners. The platform performs as a digital ad operating system, linking to APIs from platforms like Meta, TikTok, and Google. Allowing advertisers run campaigns with a single method, reducing the need to manage multiple logins and interfaces. The system currently manages over $3 billion in annual advertising spend for businesses like Cox Automotive, Innocean, and the Johnson Group.
"It requires lots of people and hours to successfully carry out your marketing," CEO Mike Lane said to Business Insider. He stated that Fluency aims to improve and simplify advertising in the same way that HubSpot and Salesforce improved customer relationship management. The new cash will be used to advance Fluency's agentic AI capabilities, which can make independent choices like replacing ad creatives or copy with more successful options. Fluency depends mainly on generative AI models from Amazon Bedrock, Anthropic's Claude, and Google's Gemini.
Lane stressed that for agentic AI to be effective, it must have strong frameworks, full connectivity with major platforms, and a unified system, all that Fluency considers to be its strengths. This establishes the company as a possible "premium platform for agentic AI" in digital advertising. Currently, Fluency competes with campaign management platforms like Hootsuite, Smartly, and Sprinklr. With the aim to support both businesses and agencies in need of advanced automation across many channels. Fluency's AI-based approach suggests the larger trend of using AI in order to reduce manual effort and improve campaigns and advertising performance.
