AutoLogiX aims to convert freight transportation across the Middle East through advanced autonomous vehicle technology.
7X, the trade, transport, and logistics group, has introduced Autologix Smarttech LLC (AutoLogiX), a joint venture with Zelostech, a worldwide specialist in autonomous vehicle technology. The new venture will focus on developing a unified logistics system underpinned by Level 4 autonomous vehicles, enhancing the UAE’s increasingly significant role as a global leader for smart transport solutions. In its first stage, AutoLogiX will deploy driverless cargo vehicles that have been developed for the automated transport of products between logistics hubs. These vehicles have no cab, no steering wheel, and no driver, representing advancement over conventional delivery vans and trucks.
The joint venture will implement an expansion plan in phases that will include last-mile delivery solutions, mobile smart locker networks and logistics integration with airfreight. These innovations will enhance on-time delivery, allow night or off-peak hours logistics activity, and decrease carbon emissions per parcel. "Our partnership with Zelostech shows the value of combining operational excellence with pioneering technology innovation," stated Tariq Al Wahedi, Group CEO of 7X. "'AutoLogiX' is a fantastic opportunity to advance the regional logistics sector with Level 4 autonomous vehicle technology to make an urban transport infrastructure smarter, more sustainable and more efficient."
Kong Qi, CEO of Zelostech, commented, "In collaboration with 7X, our joint venture is a huge milestone in this strategic partnership. We look forward to AutoLogiX working in collaboration with EMX to deliver safer and more efficient transport services to further elevate 7X's position as a leading innovator within the global postal and logistics market." In addition to increasing the efficiency of middle-mile operations, the venture is now able to advance the operational safety and sustainability levels daily with the introduction of Level 4 autonomous vehicles.
