Kenco marked 75 years with a celebration, showing their growth, achievements, automation and appreciating employee dedication.
Reputable third-party logistics (3PL) business Kenco recently held a special celebration at its Chattanooga headquarters to mark its 75th anniversary. As a way to look at the business's past and bright future, the event gathered together business partners, community leaders, and current and past staff members.
Through planned growth, Kenco has kept improving its abilities over time. Purchase of Drexel increased its presence in Canada, and the Shippers Group strengthened its multi-client storage facility services. In addition, Kenco introduced Kenco Automation Guidance, an advisory service that focuses on supporting clients in automating their operations using automated storage and distribution systems.
The business has also expanded its offerings in contract packaging and life sciences logistics, increasing its ability to support customers across the entire supply chain. Kenco management is committed to personally thanking staff members on every shift at all 140 locations as part of the 75th anniversary celebration. Recognizing the dedication of the team members who drive Kenco's success is made possible in large part with these visits.
"We continue to grow because of our staff members," stated President & CEO Denis Reilly. "What keeps our customers returning back is their commitment and passion." Jim Kennedy, Jr. and Sam Smartt, Sr. founded Kenco in 1950 as a small, local business. With more than 7,500 employees located in over 140 locations in North America, it has grown into an important logistics supplier worldwide. Business offers a number of logistics solutions for several finest businesses in the world. As it continues on the next stage, Kenco is still dedicated to innovation, customer relationships, and excellence in operations.
