Fullmark collaborates with TWAICE to improve battery storage effectiveness, supporting California’s energy network and simplifying system management.
Fullmark Energy, a private electricity producer, has collaborated with TWAICE, an established data analytics provider for battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Chicago, for a duration of three years. When the collaboration concludes, TWAICE's Battery Storage Analytics platform will be accessible at four Fullmark sites in Southern California, with a total installed capacity of 290 MWh.
Fullmark's current use of TWAICE at its 20 MW/80 MWh Johanna facility in Santa Ana, CA, is expanded by the collaboration. As the platform gets operational, three more sites with capacities ranging from 40 MWh to 130 MWh will become live. Both the California network and the larger CAISO energy market will profit from these sites. EVP and GM Americas at TWAICE, Lennart Hinrichs, stated that "TWAICE allows Fullmark to operate and fulfill CAISO requirements." "We are happy to support Fullmark in growing its portfolio and shift to a more reliable energy system."
Current state of charge (SoC), overall system health, and the root cause of performance issues like stranded energy are only a few of the clear insights that the software gets from basic battery data. This makes it easy for small teams to successfully manage big, complex storage systems. This collaboration is part of a shift toward smart, data-based energy management as the energy storage develops. Businesses can use the full value of their stored resources with TWAICE, a step closer to a cleaner and more secure future.
